Artificial Intelligence Training Talk
A training talk for all staff on the responsible use of artificial intelligence - what AI is, what the company and each person are responsible for, and how to recognise and report a problem. The download gives you a one-page attendance record with the talk description already filled in, plus the full guidance document to run the talk from.
Two Files in One Download
- TT-42-01 Artificial Intelligence - the attendance record, with the topic and talk description ready to use and a signature line for each attendee
- GG-42-01 Artificial Intelligence - the guidance document the talk is based on, to prepare from and to issue to staff afterwards
Talk Description
The talk description refers to the GG-42-01 guidance and the P-120 Artificial Intelligence Policy, and covers:
- What artificial intelligence is and the key terms
- Company obligations and your obligations when using AI
- Recognising AI risks and the warning signs of a problem
- Why improved AI performance matters
- How to report an AI concern or incident
Running the Talk
Read through the guidance and your AI policy beforehand, talk the points through with the team, then have everyone sign the record. Keep the signed record as evidence that the briefing took place and who received it.
Supports ISO 42001 Awareness
The talk supports clause 7.3 Awareness in ISO 42001, which expects people doing work under the AI management system to be aware of the AI policy, their contribution to the system and the implications of not conforming. The signed record shows when that awareness was given and to whom.
Adapting the Talk
Both files are fully editable, so add your own examples, the names of your approved AI tools and your AI lead, and the person staff should report concerns to. Update the talk description if you cover extra points.
Keeping the Training Record
File the signed record with your training records, or log the talk against each attendee in a training matrix, so you can show who has been briefed and when.
Who Is It For?
Every member of staff who uses AI tools for company work. It works at induction, as a refresher and whenever the approved tools or the AI policy change.
Included in the ISO 42001 Toolkit
This training talk and the GG-42-01 guidance are part of the ISO 42001 Toolkit.
Delivering Talks Regularly
Short, regular talks keep AI use in front of people as the tools change. For a fuller session, the ISO 42001:2023 Awareness Training Course takes staff through the standard clause by clause, with the ISO 42001:2023 Training Certificate Template to issue afterwards.
